On December 3, 2024, ArcelorMittal Zenica held the Award Ceremony for outstanding Health and Safety contributions. A total of 269 employees were awarded, within three categories: workers, foremen and managers/assistant managers. Employees were awarded for their special contribution to Health and Safety during their daily work. The awarded employees perform their daily work following all occupational health and safety rules and respecting ArcelorMittal standards. In this way, the Company wants to motivate employees to continue to perform their jobs safely, because only in this way can we achieve our common goal – “Zero injuries”.
The essence of ArcelorMittal’s business philosophy is producing safe and sustainable steel, with employee health and safety as a priority. The Company’s goal is to achieve zero injuries at work, and it has been working persistently for years to establish and implement adequate occupational health and safety rules.
Believe in Zero
Why “Believe in Zero” and what do we mean by “zero”? We need to be a company with zero fatalities and zero serious injuries at work. There are many ways to do this, but they all start with belief. If we don’t believe that zero is an achievable outcome, we will never achieve it. Belief alone is of course not enough. It needs to be backed up by rigour, hard work and dedication, every day.
Congratulations to everyone, and may we continue to operate safely and sustainably. Take care of yourself and your colleagues.
