The volleyball club “Čelik-Volley” was founded in March 2023, as a product of the desire to enable quality and systematic work with boys in the city of Zenica, and with the long-term goal of popularizing volleyball and sports in general.
Several players with many years of experience and success at the club and representative level have joined forces with young enthusiasts and want to instil their knowledge, experience and love for this sport in the younger generations.
The team that works with selections, and administrative and other duties consists of: Rijad Delić, Emir Bajramović, Damir Delihasanović, Ivan Čičak and Samed Efendić.
The plan was to start with younger selections, and gradually work and build quality and competitive teams in all selections: from pioneer to senior selection.
Today, VC “Čelik-Volley” trains three times a week in the Bilmište sports hall, where about 40 boys of different ages attend the training sessions. It is important to note that the club is a member of the official Volleyball Association of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and competes in the tournaments of the Association. Currently, three youth teams can be distinguished: pioneers, cadets and juniors, and they are also working on developing a senior team.
In February 2024, ArcelorMittal Zenica supported VC “Čelik-Volley” by ensuring sports equipment for the members of the Club.
