The company ArcelorMittal Zenica symbolically marked October as the month of the fight against breast cancer, in cooperation with the Association “Život” Zenica, of which we have been a long-term supporter. In addition to the registration in the Association of all female employees of ArcelorMittal Zenica and Toplana Zenica, an inspiring lecture was held on the topic of breast cancer, to raise awareness of the importance of prevention and early diagnosis of breast cancer, as well as encouraging the community to talk about this important topic.
Prim. Ph.D. Harun Drljević shared expert advice and answered the questions of our female employees. Dijana Jerković, president of the Association, as well as members Namka Huseinspahić and Šuhreta Šehić shared their experiences and inspiring stories about the fight against this disease. The messages conveyed during the lecture were powerful and encouraging. Speakers emphasized the importance of regular examinations, self-examination, and the key role of family and friend support in the treatment process.
ArcelorMittal Zenica expressed its satisfaction with the cooperation with the Association “Život” and confirmed its commitment to support such initiatives. It is planned to continue similar events in the future, to raise awareness about the health and well-being of employees and the wider community.
