Each year, 8 March is celebrated as International Women’s Day all over the world. Within the company, it’s an opportunity to talk about women, highlight women from ArcelorMittal, and involve the men in the narrative. It is also the occasion to commemorate women within society and to propose a special day for them. Women in ArcelorMittal expect to be listened to and be recognized in their professional environment and aspire for better working conditions and for a better work-life balance.
ArcelorMittal Zenica celebrated International Women’s Day in a unique way this year.
On March 7, 2023, the book “The Light We Carry” was distributed, a symbolic gift from Sanjay Samaddar, CEO of ArcelorMittal Europe – Long Products, and on March 8, 2023, according to the decision of the CEO of ArcelorMittal Zenica, Nikhil Mehta, instead of going to the workplace, a special event was organized for about 170 female employees at the Bosnian National Theater in Zenica. After the welcome drink and distribution of gifts, the theatre play “Three Days” was performed.
