Prim. Ph.D. Harun Drljević shared expert advice, and members of the association who survived breast cancer shared their experiences and inspiring stories about the fight against this disease.
The messages conveyed during the lecture were powerful and encouraging. Speakers emphasised the importance of regular examinations, self-examination, and the key role of family and friend support in the treatment process. They also emphasised the importance of information and education, as well as the importance of talking about this disease to remove stigma and empower the community.
During the lecture, women had the opportunity to ask questions and discuss various aspects of breast cancer, from early diagnosis to treatment and recovery. The President of the Association, Dijana Jerković, presented the activities and resources available to patients, including counselling, support and information about treatment.
ArcelorMittal Zenica expressed its satisfaction with the cooperation with the Association “Život” and confirmed its commitment to support such initiatives. It is planned to continue similar events in the future, to raise awareness about the health and well-being of employees and the wider community.
This lecture showed how the community can work together to raise awareness of breast cancer, providing support and encouragement to those affected by the disease.
