Health and safety (H&S) is the top priority at ArcelorMittal and each of us has a role to play in improving standards, by strictly adhering to the Life Saving Golden Rules. We all work together every day, strive for zero fatalities and serious incidents, and we have developed good practices at all levels. It is this commitment and passion that we want to highlight.
Today, ArcelorMittal Europe internal communications, under the sponsorship of Irene De La Guerra Sierra, head of second-line safety audit, ArcelorMittal Europe, is launching a new campaign, ‘Your voice matters – Making Zero Happen’. This will be developed over several rounds, and in each one, you will discover a selection of initiatives from across Europe, that embody our dedication to all aspects of H&S: physical, mental and operational safety.
Terms and conditions
1. Country communicators and local HRs will be the point of contact for submissions. They will select five initiatives maximum from their country/region for submission to ArcelorMittal Europe internal communications based on criteria decided by the heads of health and safety of three European segments and ArcelorMittal Europe, in consultation of their local health and safety teams. No direct submission to ArcelorMittal Europe internal communications will be considered.
2. ArcelorMittal Europe employees and contractors can submit an initiative to their respective country communicators. Employees and contractors outside of ArcelorMittal Europe will not be considered for submission.
3. The submission should be a team initiative with a minimum of two team members.
4. The submission should be a be a PowerPoint document and follow the naming convention: InitiativeName_InitiativeLead_Country/Region.pptx.
5. By taking part in the campaign and submitting an Initiative, the employee or contractor consents to the processing of his or her personal data provided.
6. Top five initiatives from each country/region selected by the country communicators and local HRs will be displayed on the Europe and country intranets for voting by ArcelorMittal employees and contractors, in rounds of voting.
7. Top three initiatives from each round of voting (winner and two runners-up) will be provided with prizes and certificates.
